Flaminia Barosini, born in 1987, is a jewellery designer from Rome, Italy. In June 2010 she graduated in Jewellery Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) and then spent a few months in London, where she attended the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design. In the same year her dream took shape and she created her first line of jewels. Flaminia participated in Artistar Jewels in 2014, in the very first edition of the project. From that year things really changed for Flaminia and her brand. Her jewels, all strictly handmade through the lost-wax casting technique, have crossed national borders, literally making a world tour. She truly believes she has grown a lot and developed her creations since her participation in Artistar Jewels. She has managed to find a niche for her market, choosing to entrust her jewels to small, specially selected retailers. Her market has had such an expansion that it even arrived in Japan, where Flaminia is present and established in a city such as Tokyo. Taking part in such a structured project helped Flaminia to make her philosophy more popular, reaching the point of receiving invitations to participate in events all over the world. The success is so much that at the moment the purpose of the brand is to return to the direct relationship with the final customer, without having to go through retailers. Even on social media, the success grew a lot, especially on Instagram, where Barosini has over 11 thousand followers. Scrolling through her feed, you can see how much the care for her image has changed from 2014 to today, as well as the professionalism of the shots and the collaborations in place: many celebrities in fact wear her creations, both in private and for interviews and official appearances. One thing for Flaminia, however, is certain: despite her success, her craftsmanship and passion will never change.

Many things have changed from 2013 to today, year in which the artist Pasqualina Tripodi has participated in Artistar Jewels. A new experience for an artist who just appeared on the stage of the contemporary jewel, determined to give voice to her inspiration and her vision through poor and alternative materials. Thus began his adventure, from that magical week of September 2013. In those days the Artistar Jewels exhibition took place at the Maimeri Foundation in Milan. Her Milanese stay was really profitable: she met the model and fashion designer Marta Marzotto there, and the brand got the name Pasly. Pasly soon became a synonym of ethical and natural, starting to lay the foundations for a sustainable fashion in the body ornament’s field, when only a few had realized that soon everything would have turned towards the green direction. Then began the first collaborations fashion designers and the first important works, such as the collaboration for Japan meets Verdi presented on the occasion of the premiere of La Scala. Or the exhibition at Expo 2015, with works created for a leading company in the liquorice production sector, through a magazine of contemporary art and culture. Despite the numerous awards and acknowledgments, however, the consecration arrived in 2017 with the Green Oscars and the birth of the first agri-jewels, where the creations are noticed by the press and TV that today dedicate articles and interviews internationally. Over the years, Pasqualina has had the opportunity to participate in numerous events of various kinds and exhibit on various occasions, from trade fairs to those of a more intellectual nature, managing to always arouse particular and growing interest. Those who buy a Pasly jewel are enraptured by history and by "strangeness", by the guarantee of a creation that is always unique and unmistakable, which does not go unnoticed, even in the case of the simplest creations. This attention to the vision of the jewel over time has turned into a social focus, with an average of 3000 views per post and a number of followers growing, really interested and in line with the brand.
Two years have passed since the participation of Gianni de Benedittis in Artistar Jewels and the artist confesses that he has beautiful memories tied to the event. It was the fourth edition, in the prestigious setting of Palazzo dei Giureconsulti: a very accurate presentation, with excellent guests such as Gillo Dorfles, Gian Carlo Montebello and Philip Sajet. The selected designers were 150 and came from over 30 countries. It was the first time that Gianni experienced an event of this kind, and it was very exciting for him. On that occasion he noticed that the competition was a “comparison of creative styles” that, in spite of homologation, succeeded to express different cultural identities. His greatest satisfaction was to see his Fan Ring printed on the invitation of the exhibition, as well as on the totem at the entrance and, finally, on the cover of the Artistar Jewels 2017 volume. From that moment his artistic path saw multiple evolutions: Gianni won Who is on Next ?, the VOGUE Italia prize for jewelry; a recognition of great value that has led him to important collaborations, both in the fashion world, for example with Guillermo Mariotto of the Maison Gattinoni, and in cinema and theatre, with the director Ferzan Ozpetek. From this last experience a new desire was born: to conceive a jewel for people of the show business. Many pieces have been hosted in important exhibitions so far, both in Italy and abroad; as well as the artist himself Gianni De Benedittis, guested on numerous television broadcasts. His sales network has grown considerably, including more and more private customers from all over the world, with very exclusive yet stimulating requests.
Nature, art, architecture, fashion: these are just some of the many sources of inspiration for the Dario Scapitta Design’s creations. Each object is highlighted by a touch of glamour and elegance, that does not leave you indifferent. Inspiration is the basis of all his creations, the beginning of all. Dario started his brand in 2012, and in 2015 he started participated in international events. In the same year he took part in Artistar Jewels, to challenge his design and push it to the next level. He firmly believes in the importance of participating in fairs more than once, and he believed so much in the project he took part again 2016. He liked the fact that Artistar Jewels is not only an exhibition but it’s a way to find real commercial contacts for the participants. Nowadays he still receives contacts by journalists interested in his works, as well as clients, even though he is more focused on selling in first person the jewels he creates. During his participation in 2016, he started an important collaboration with a gallery from Wien, that had the chance to touch and see the amazing creations he produced during the event organized at HOMI fair. He firmly believes that, from the beginning, his design and brand awareness changed with him, and is now more mature and capable of promoting himself. His work is evolving every day, always looking for new shapes and material combinations. Every collection is designed and produced in The Netherlands in a very limited amount of pieces and on a “made to order” base. This is to avoid over-production and to build a more sustainable and conscious production process in a fashion world of mass and overstocked products. His creations are not just jewelry, but modern body ornaments, ready to highlight every style.
Susan Lenart Kazmer, American artist, feels Artistar Jewels has helped her grow her work publicly, personally and professionally on so many layers. At a very fundamental level, working with this group of selected artists has inspired her to push her jewelry and adornment to the edge of extreme by deeply exploring and expressing her medium. Having a deadline each year to show up for Artistar Jewels with new groundbreaking work is such an amazing opportunity if not a discipline and a delight. Susan is trained as an artist first and then a silversmith so her work is a description and expression about Real life experiences described as: Raw, Urban and Bold. When she first began her work in fashion and runway, she explored the concept of adornment and built whatever she imagined in her head. She abandoned practicality to build the interesting as an art form. She was carefree of the idea of how a piece would function as jewelry but built it for art: doing that right for Artistar Jewels was super exciting. She loves that Artistar Jewels has made a place for her creations in Milan Fashion Week. The 2019 Fall Edition will be her fourth year participating in Artistar Jewels and much attention and opportunities have materialized. Through the project she won the opportunity of doing a museum gallery tour of her work throughout Europe in 2018. It included Athens, Greece, Italy and England. At that time, she also gained the attention of a California stylists who did a photo shoot and used her work in US Elle Magazine, pairing her work with Prada clothing. The same stylist also used her work in a new publication called More or Less Magazine, aimed at young viewers looking for well-made reasonably priced fashion. A Hollywood stylist, Ivan Bitton, contacted Susan to use her jewelry for special occasions calling for her strong look in jewelry. Last year at Artistar Jewels 2019, Susan had over 15 positive articles on her latest line: such a success!
