Flaminia Barosini

Flaminia Barosini, born in 1987, is a jewellery designer from Rome, Italy. In June 2010 she graduated in Jewellery Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) and then spent a few months in London, where she attended the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design. In the same year her dream took shape and she created her first line of jewels. Flaminia participated in Artistar Jewels in 2014, in the very first edition of the project. From that year things really changed for Flaminia and her brand. Her jewels, all strictly handmade through the lost-wax casting technique, have crossed national borders, literally making a world tour. She truly believes she has grown a lot and developed her creations since her participation in Artistar Jewels. She has managed to find a niche for her market, choosing to entrust her jewels to small, specially selected retailers. Her market has had such an expansion that it even arrived in Japan, where Flaminia is present and established in a city such as Tokyo. Taking part in such a structured project helped Flaminia to make her philosophy more popular, reaching the point of receiving invitations to participate in events all over the world. The success is so much that at the moment the purpose of the brand is to return to the direct relationship with the final customer, without having to go through retailers. Even on social media, the success grew a lot, especially on Instagram, where Barosini has over 11 thousand followers. Scrolling through her feed, you can see how much the care for her image has changed from 2014 to today, as well as the professionalism of the shots and the collaborations in place: many celebrities in fact wear her creations, both in private and for interviews and official appearances. One thing for Flaminia, however, is certain: despite her success, her craftsmanship and passion will never change.
